A little history
I found my calling in the field of organization development in 1985. The moment of epiphany came on a blustery winter day in an Interaction Associates workshop, Mastering Meetings for Results, with Girl Scout leadership in Detroit. By mid-afternoon, the clouds of confusion suddenly parted and I saw in IA’s process model that there is a predictable and reliable methodology which, if mastered, could easily and reliably bring order, results and fun to what had always seemed so difficult – getting well-intentioned and smart people to work effectively together. Wow!
Since then, I have had twenty-five years of learning and experience, in the role of both an external and internal consultant. With more than one million miles flown, and plenty of notches on my briefcase, I have great stories and methods to share. . . and the same excitement for the work that lit up my heart’s campfire many years ago.
The combination of my personal values, plus rich experience in a wide variety of corporate settings and cultures, I believe, makes me a valuable ally for those who seek to put change to work for them in their personal and professional lives.
I have worked extensively in the private and not-for-profit sectors throughout the US, and internationally. To each assignment, I seek to bring “new eyes” to look at the situation without preconceptions, and share a wealth of experience about “what works.” My personal commitment is to be a true ally to those who choose to master the complex business of change.
